Azacitidine, (Xpreza) works for treating blood/ bone marrow disorders (myelodysplastic syndromes-MDS) in which the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells. Azacitidine also works by reducing refractory anemia or refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (cancers of the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow). Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xpreza tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side effects:

The most common side effects of Azacitidine are:
