Indication:

Trifluridine and Tipiracil is mainly used to treat adults with advanced colorectal cancer or gastric (stomach) cancer, including gastroesophageal junction cancer, that has spread (metastasized) and no longer responds to standard treatments like chemotherapy or targeted therapy. This combination works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells—Trifluridine damages cancer cell DNA, while Tipiracil helps keep Trifluridine active in the body longer.

Dosage:                               

Trifluridine and Tipiracil is a combination chemotherapy medicine used to treat certain types of advanced cancers, like colorectal and gastric cancer, especially when other treatments have not worked. The usual dose is based on the patient’s body surface area (BSA), and it's taken orally twice a day on days 1 to 5 and 8 to 12 of a 28-day cycle. The recommended starting dose is 35 mg/m² of body surface area, twice daily. It should be taken within 1 hour after a meal. The dose may be adjusted or delayed based on side effects like low blood cell counts.
