Indication:

Perampanel is used to treat epilepsy by helping prevent seizures. It is approved for partial-onset seizures (which start in one part of the brain) in people aged 4 years and older, and for generalized tonic-clonic seizures (involving the whole brain) in people 12 years and older. It works by blocking a certain brain receptor (AMPA receptor) involved in triggering seizures, helping to calm overactive nerve signals and reduce how often seizures happen.

Dosage:                               

Perampanel (brand name Fycompa) is an oral medication used to treat epilepsy, specifically for partial-onset seizures and generalized tonic-clonic seizures. The usual starting dose is 2 mg once daily at bedtime, and it may be gradually increased by 2 mg per week based on the patient's response and tolerance, up to a maximum of 12 mg per day. The dose can vary depending on whether the patient is taking other anti-seizure drugs that affect how perampanel works in the body.

Note:

Always taken once daily at night to reduce side effects like dizziness or sleepiness.
